Open Position: Marketing Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Marketing Management - Develop a marketing strategy for the company to build brand awareness, drive industry interest, and increase sale of the company’s various offerings with specific emphasis on the Battle Program:
  • Develop testimonials, case studies, success stories
  • Manage company assets such as websites and various sales and marketing materials
  • Oversee digital and email marketing campaigns tracking performance
• Communications Management - Support our broader team’s development of relevant policy, political and current event topics to support client mass communication efforts 
• Graphic Design and Branding - Support client needs in association by developing logos and various graphics for various communication templates.
• Social Media Management - Develop best practices for and, if needed, handle set up of social accounts on various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X) including political advertising capabilities within them.
• Video Production - In coordination with the Communications and Account Management teams, script, film, and edit video content for company and client external marketing - primary focus is on developing case studies and testimonials highlighting various efforts.
• Copywriting - In collaboration with company and client leadership, develop messaging for Surus and our clients for social media, press releases and other media platforms.
• Marketing Support - Be responsive to requests by company leadership to develop and distribute content to client teams and, if needed, work with clients to edit content when appropriate to better fit their goals.
• Technical Skills - Maintain an in-depth understanding of various online tools and the company’s  data, modeling, and polling assets, how they are employed, and the graphic and language specifications associated with them.

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal team and external stakeholders
• Ability to learn and use new software and tools quickly
• 3 – 5 years of professional marketing experience
• Some public policy, non-profit or political experience preferred 
• Some prior experience with fundraising, communications, or community engagement preferred
