Jeff Fiedler's Profile
Jeff Fiedler
Jeff was born in St. Clair County and spent his youth in Clinton County before his parents headed for opportunities five hours north in Mayor Daley's Chicago in the early 1960's. He is a proud graduate of a Chicago public school and the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
Jeff started out in corporate media working for ABC's Publishing division before returning to academia to secure an Illinois teaching certificate from Northeastern Illinois University, qualifying him to teach Social Studies and English. Jeff returned to the private school sector as a teacher, coach, and eventually development administrator in a Chicago Catholic high school for 20 years. Over time, Jeff was drawn into the Chicago-area nonprofit work and was later recruited for a nonprofit executive position in Northern California for eight years, where he learned to fight the Golden State's governmental overreach into nonprofit operations and fundraising. Returning to Illinois in 2016, he started his own marketing firm and it wasn't long before he was drawn into the local Northwest side Chicago political scene. He jumped into a Republican House campaign, helped run a winning insurgent Republican committeeperson race, and learned to apply his nonprofit development skills within the Northwest Side GOP Club, eventually moving into the Chicago Republican Party organization.
Jeff has worked as a partner with the Surus team since the early stages of its operation, joining as a full-time Account Manager for Schaumburg, Northfield, Maine, and Northside Counties as well as Run Illinois in the spring of 2024.
