Before joining Surus, Joanne secured her Professional Certificate of Business from Bradford Business School in Philadelphia. Joanne gained 14 years of teaching experience through homeschooling and forensics coaching. Joanne has a strong administrative background, having worked as the Executive Assistant to Vanguard’s VP of Telecommunications and as the Youth Ministry Coordinator for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Joanne joined Surus in 2022 as a Program Manager serving McLean County, then later Peoria County and Champaign County, before becoming an Account Manager. She works on the backend of data system support and service for our clients; when new users are added, Joanne helps ensure consistent quality and organization, which allows our Account Managers to be more client-facing in their roles.

Joanne loves the Surus mission and its goals. She enjoys equipping volunteer-based organizations with wonderful resources most organizations do not have and helping them put roots down to maintain stability through leadership changes. Joanne is a Lincoln Series Fellow.  Outside of work, Joanne enjoys traveling, cooking, and homebrewing beer with her husband, especially porters and stouts.
